Our work is guided by the following ethical principles:

We work together with persons in vulnerable situations and who are living in poverty, irrespective of their political or religious background. Especially the voice of ethnic minorities, women and children, as well as women and children with disabilities, is important.

We emphasize cooperation. Together with partners and locals we develop local communities and society sustainably. Ownership and empowerment of different actors is important to us.

The aim of our work is the fulfillment and enablement of human rights, focusing on needs identified in project areas. Our joint work is built on the strengths and resources of different parties, thus making continuous growth possible.

We take environmental sustainability into account in project planning and implementation. We are responsible and transparent in financial management. We equip and require our partners to follow principles of good governance. We monitor the use of finances and we do not accept corruption in any form. We also expect lawful conduct from staff, volunteers and partners to prevent sexual and gender-based harassment and discrimination, as well as develop good procedures.
